Born to Die

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Jesus was born to die, so that we could die to be born.

Job 14:7-9 KJV For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. (8) Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; (9) Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.

Every man will die for his own sin.

JESUS died for the sins of the world.

2 Chronicles 25:4 KJV But he slew not their children, but did as it is written in the law in the book of Moses, where the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not die for the children, neither shall the children die for the fathers, but every man shall die for his own sin.

Jesus was and is above the Law.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Sin always has a price.

2 Chronicles 26:21 KJV And Uzziah the king was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house, being a leper; for he was cut off from the house of the LORD: and Jotham his son was over the king's house, judging the people of the land.

Jesus paid the eternal cost. We pay a temporal cost. Without Christ, we pay the eternal cost too!

And “do for us” He did…

Christmas Eve 2004

When I was a little boy, I used to like to lie on my back, my head under the Christmas tree, and look up. It was much like looking at the stars. I would occasionally fall asleep "wishing" on a distant light bulb, high up in the tree.

My twenty-somethings are home for Christmas. The presents are piled under the tree in our comfortable and spacious living room. Last night, over pizza, beers, and cards, we laughed and reminisced. My beautiful wife is overjoyed. Christmas weekends were not always this easy.

December 2004 looked like we would be OK. The rent was paid late - like all the other bills - but it was paid. A small cash reserve was set aside for a tree and Christmas gifts. Then, my 1990 vehicle broke down the second weekend after Thanksgiving, on my way to work. My wife and I needed two cars, so this hurt. We planned to buy a tree the next morning with my tip proceeds. Instead, the repair bill - which would end up in the thousands - wiped us out. The Christmas fund was gone, plus all of my earnings for the following week.

I was angry. Shamefully, I cursed God. The kids were too small to understand what had happened. All they knew was Santa was on his way.

I worked every available shift at a bar when I was not at my other job in a government office.

By December 23rd, we finally paid all of our bills, the car was fixed, and we could buy the kids gifts, but it was too late for a tree. I agreed to work on Christmas Eve at a local divorcee's annual Christmas party. We agreed, since my wife was home with the kids, I would knock out Christmas shopping right after the party, at a Walmart that was open until Midnight on Christmas Eve.

The divorcee was a pretty woman in a massive home, a little older than me. She had all of her very high-end friends over - most of whom were similar wealthy and childless divorcees with their boyfriends. At about 9PM, the party she held was beginning to enter a different phase, and I was told to break down the bar - they would be self serving - and I was dismissed. The hostess found herself a male suitor for the night. The valet brought my car keys and explained my car was parked where no one could see it. She politely asked my plans, and when I told her I was racing to Walmart to buy Christmas gifts for the kids, she laughed at me. "What a terrible life."

It was about 11P by the time I raced to Walmart with the proceeds from the party. I knew what was needed. I also saw a lonesome, pre-lit, display tree for sale. I bought it.

That night, I got home about 1A. My wife and the kids were asleep. I set up the tree and furiously began wrapping the gifts. I did not finish everything until almost 6A. Finally, I laid my head under the tree like I have done since I was a little boy and passed out.

I awoke an hour later, with my now second eldest daughter standing between my legs and my younger son whispering in my ear, "Daddy, are you alive?"

I climbed out from under the tree and the kids were clearly shocked and speechless. Not only had Santa brought gifts, he brought a tree. I sat there watching them as my wife in her robe handed me a cup of coffee, her hair in a bun, smiling. She knew.

"What were you doing under the tree, daddy?" My daughter asked. I sat my coffee down, grabbed their little bodies on either side of me, and laid back down with our heads close together, under the tree, and told them to look up at the "stars" in the tree. They laid there with me for a few moments - our heads together - enjoying a magical Christmas moment. They pointed toward stars, as I apologized to God for having lost my faith. It is not a terrible life at all.

If I, a man, would do this for his children, I could not imagine how much our heavenly Father would do for us.

Y'all have a blessed Christmas1

I am content with being minimal in Christ.

Therefore, I can tell all who would attempt to sway me with mammon puppet strings to shove their greenbacks where the SON and sun do not shine.

Proverbs 28:6 KJV Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.

I am rich in Christ!

Nothing, not even all the gold in this world, could replace the pricelessness of my faith!

Proverbs 28:20 KJV A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.

GOD got a hold of my heart at the age of 18.

Yet, He spoke to my heart throughout my childhood and teenage years.

2 Chronicles 26:3-4 KJV Sixteen years old was Uzziah when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and two years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Jecoliah of Jerusalem. (4) And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah did.

2 Chronicles 26:5 KJV And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.

The teenager grew to become prideful though.

2 Chronicles 26:16 KJV But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense.

Christian or not, unrepentant pride will bring a fall which brings us back to the price that is paid for sin.

Do you truly want to understand the state of affairs?

Seek the LORD, not Q.

Proverbs 28:5 KJV Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.

Do you want to have great memories? Assist the poor in wealth and spirit.

Many of my great memories are from helping the poor.

Proverbs 28:27 KJV He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.

What is Christmas without reading the Bible and publishing truth of Christ?

Pride does the opposite.

This pride manifests in those who never say anything concerning about the content I post until it comes time to snipe it.

Proverbs 28:25 KJV He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat.

Balls of steel (pride) are nothing but jelly without the LORD.

2 Chronicles 25:8 KJV But if thou wilt go, do it, be strong for the battle: God shall make thee fall before the enemy: for God hath power to help, and to cast down.

These balls will be crushed!

I do believe the LORD asks America the same question today.

2 Chronicles 25:15 KJV Wherefore the anger of the LORD was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which could not deliver their own people out of thine hand?

Woe to those whom the LORD is "determined to destroy."

2 Chronicles 25:16 KJV And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that the king said unto him, Art thou made of the king's counsel? forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbare, and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel.

Jesus was born into this world to save, not destroy. Trust in Him!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Elijah @ChristianResurgence posts on Gab,

Christmas is supposed to be a merry time. A time of reflection, thankfulness, warmth, mirth, rejoicing, happiness and joy...Unfortunately, that isn't the case for everyone.

Some of you may be struggling with depression. Perhaps, this is your first Christmas as a widow/widower. Perhaps, this Christmas there will be an empty seat at the table. Perhaps, a few less presents under the tree this year.

Perhaps, like many, you're struggling financially. Unable to give your family the Christmas they deserve.

Perhaps, a child has moved further away, and won't be present in your celebrations.

Some of you, you're exhausted. You've lost your joy in the middle of the "christmas rush" and the hustle and bustle of trying to be everywhere. You're working so hard trying to be everywhere, please everyone, be at every dinner and event, that you don't even have time to slow down and enjoy Christmas.

Perhaps, you're anxious over the upcoming start of a new year, uncertain of what the future holds, you're dreading it before it even arrives.

Regardless of our situations, or feelings, Christ Jesus the Lord can be your hope, peace, redeemer, advocate, mediator, and so much more.

We celebrate His birth on Christmas. But, remember, He isn't a baby in a manger, nor is He still on the cross.

He is resurrected and is at the right hand of the Father. He defeated Satan, He led Captivity Captize. He conquered sin, death, *, and the grave

Christ was born.

He was despised, looked down upon, ridiculed, and not taken seriously.

He suffered.

He experienced grief, pain, and agony.

He experienced betrayal and rejection at those who claimed to love Him.

The Bible says

Hebrews 2:18 KJV — For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

Hebrews 4:15-16 KJV — For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Regardless of your struggle, or battle, Christ knows how you feel. Cry out to Him.

The Bible says cast all your cares upon Him, for He careth for you

Repent and get right with God. Turn from sin. Cry out to Him and He can replace your bitterness with peace. Your sorrow for joy. Your mourning for laughing. Your ashes for beauty.4

Not even the ADL can deny the joy of Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

Christ is King!
