Day Fifteen

I must say that my dogs are very faithful when it comes to posting themselves at our table when it comes time for dinner, or any meal for that matter.

And it is at this table that Jesus always gets to the heart of the matter.

Matthew 15:18-20 KJV But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. (19) For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: (20) These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

ChuckMathis commented on Substack,

I confess to being a "dog" who eats well beneath the Master's table. Life is good because Christ is King.

1

The heart of the matter is not the Jews. The heart of the matter is found within our own hearts. We all are just dogs at the table, alienated from the Israel of God, without Christ.

Now you know why I do not spend my every waking moment chasing, analyzing, and reporting on the Joos.

Matthew 15:13-14 KJV But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. (14) Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

I rather devote this time to Christ. Nevertheless, there will always be those who occupy there time with such.

Nehemiah 5:1 KJV And there was a great cry of the people and of their wives against their brethren the Jews.

Speaking of certain Jews who had a heart issue and did not know Christ,

Matthew 15:1 KJV Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,

These hypocrites were not from the Jerusalem Above. They were from the Jerusalem below.

Matthew 15:2-4 KJV Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread. (3) But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? (4) For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.

"In the Lord" is key. In other words, honor your parents who are from the Jerusalem Above, who seek the will of God and not their own will that is tied to the traditions of men or the habits of self. We are not bound to honor the sins of our parents.

Ephesians 6:1 KJV Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

Ephesians 6:2 KJV Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)

This honor includes caring for our parents as needful and necessary. The excuse of having financials tied up in commercial Christianity is no excuse for neglecting our parents.

Matthew 15:5-6 KJV But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; (6) And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.

Dishonoring faithful parents and their needs is dishonoring the Father and His Son, while ignoring the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 15:7-9 KJV Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, (8) This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. (9) But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

And then you wonder why dogs eat their own feces at times.

These same dogs look to even make money off this defecation!

Nehemiah 5:7 KJV Then I consulted with myself, and I rebuked the nobles, and the rulers, and said unto them, Ye exact usury, every one of his brother. And I set a great assembly against them.

Yep! God is laughing!

And, I am laughing with Him.

America has become one big turd.

Psalms 59:8 KJV But thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision.

Well, it looks like it's a "it's a NO from me, Dawg" on the aesthetics of this one from EMJ

Our nation has become just one big hypocritical turd that will hone in a man who wears a “Jesus Saves” shirt in condemnation without seeing the Jesus who actually saves!

My wife and I watched a movie entitled, “Victor” last evening. One of the reasons I liked the following movie is not just because of the addiction deliverance through Christ depicted in it, but the faith of a mother that was part of it caught my attention as well. She knew the Jesus that saves. A woman who was just a dog who began eating crumbs at the table until the LORD saved her and her son.

It is the ONLY way true deliverance comes. "Rehab" is designed for failure and recidivism for cash. You must be born again to the addiction.

We find this same faith within an enemy of the Jews, a Canaanite woman, who approached Jesus for help. An enemy of the faith seed of Abraham until this woman became a friend and sister of Abraham.

Genesis 15:1 KJV After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

There was a Canaanite woman who was a lost sheep from the House of Israel until the day Jesus found her. The LORD almost allows it to seem as if we find Him, but He finds us as Jesus knew exactly why He was going to Tyre and Sidon the very day He met the Canaanite woman. I too was a lost sheep from the House of Israel until I met Jesus on October 31, 1993 and cried out to Him in essence by faith, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David."

The faith sister of Abraham believed!

Matthew 15:22 KJV And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.

Jesus then makes a powerful statement concerning this enemy who became part of the Israel of God the moment her faith proclaimed, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David."

Matthew 15:23-24 KJV But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. (24) But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Her faith is bold in the presence of the LORD as it is persistent in worship.

Matthew 15:25 KJV Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.

Jesus tests her faith.

Matthew 15:26 KJV But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.

The faith of the once enemy endures the test.

Matthew 15:27 KJV And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.

This is true faith from God that believes, repents, and works despite the tests and trials we face in this world as former enemies of God.

Matthew 15:28 KJV Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

It is here we find the Israel of God glorifying the God of Israel.

Matthew 15:31 KJV Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.

tomcat72 @tomcat72 replied on Gab,

oh, and by the way, a Caananite recognized Him for who He was, but many of His kin folk were too busy with their rituals.

None who trust God will be left behind.

No sir, none of the lost sheep of the house of Israel will be left behind. All will be lead back to the Promise Land where we find the land covenant was occupied by faith the first time and it is occupied by faith until Jesus steps foot on this land once again.

Gen 15:18  In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

Those who do not return to the Promise Land were never of the Promise Land.

Nehemiah 5:13 KJV Also I shook my lap, and said, So God shake out every man from his house, and from his labour, that performeth not this promise, even thus be he shaken out, and emptied. And all the congregation said, Amen, and praised the LORD. And the people did according to this promise.

Nevertheless my friends serve the people by faith, for we do not know who all are of the lost sheep of Israel, even those they may seem to be just dogs at the table.

Nehemiah 5:19 KJV Think upon me, my God, for good, according to all that I have done for this people.

Psalms 15:1-5 KJV A Psalm of David. LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? (2) He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. (3) He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour. (4) In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not. (5) He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.
