Governor of the Nations

Jesus did not have to confront politics as the Son of Man, because He put the rulers in place as the Son of God.

John 19:10 KJV Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee?

John 19:11 KJV Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.

Governments are clearly ordered by God and for God, for good to bless and for evil to judge.

We read about rulers for good in Romans 13,

Romans 13:4 KJV For he is the minister of God to thee for good.

We also read about rulers for evil in the book of Jeremiah,

Jeremiah 21:10 KJV For I have set my face against this city for evil, and not for good, saith the LORD: it shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire.

The bottom line is that God is in control, for He alone is Governor of the nations.

Proverbs 21:1 KJV The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

Christ is King!
