Ordo Amoris: Order of Love
The ‘Ordo Amoris: Order of Love’ debate is simple:
If you don't love God properly, you won't love your own house (family) properly. And if you don't love your own house (family) properly, you won't love others' families properly. Note that 'properly' doesn't imply equal love, but rather the appropriate love and care for each respective relationship.
Luke 14:26 KJV If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
1 Timothy 3:5 KJV (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
