If apostolic succession were true, the other apostles could have easily ordained Paul as an apostle. However, Paul was directly ordained by Jesus Christ. Catholicism practices apostolic succession, while Baptists emphasize preacher succession. In reality, God alone ordains our calling.
1 Timothy 2:7 KJV Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
I am unsure why many Christian factions shy away from lifting hands during prayer when this practice is recorded throughout the Bible. Personally, I am an introvert who does not like to draw attention to myself. However, in private prayer, I have incorporated it along with the opening prayers of my messages, private or not.
1 Timothy 2:8 KJV I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

Circumcision marked the physical descendants of Abraham, and the circumcision of Christ (heart) marks His spiritual descendants of faith in Christ. The former is no longer necessary and is never sinful in itself. The latter is necessary for salvation.
Joshua 5:2 KJV At that time the LORD said unto Joshua, Make thee sharp knives, and circumcise again the children of Israel the second time.
Gospilled Minute #182
This man was God, none other than the Jesus Christ the Son of God; otherwise, Joshua would not have worshipped him. Other gods, angels, and mere men were never to be worshipped by the Israelites.
