Our God is clothed in light. Do not be surprised when the Deceiver attempts the same.
Psalms 104:1 KJV Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.
Psalms 104:2 KJV Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:
2 Corinthians 11:14 KJV And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Wine has a proper Biblical context, but I don't think most Americans know what this context is. If I must err, I would rather do so on the side of safety, where abstinence is found, as I have practiced for decades now.
Psalms 104:15 KJV And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart.
If we meditate on the LORD throughout the day, we will be more inclined to pray without ceasing. I have found that all my meditation and prayer have been sweet and peaceful for over 30 years now.
Psalms 104:34 KJV My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV Pray without ceasing.
This is prophetic; the literal day will come. May you be found on the side of the Psalmist, where I stand as well.
Psalms 104:35 KJV Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD.
There were some early Christians who were previously Pharisees who attempted to place the yoke of the law upon the necks of other believers. They were rebuked, just as those who attempt to do the same today should be, no matter how subtle it may seem.
Acts 15:10 KJV Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
If Scripture explicitly states that there is no difference between Jew and Gentile in Christ, whose hearts are purified by faith, what makes the dispensationalist believe that a Jew has special privilege outside of such faith?
Acts 15:9 KJV And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
Jesus is coming back to rebuild His temple. Whatever the Antichrist will build and call the temple of God, will not be the temple of God. In the meantime, the Temple of His Body stands.
Acts 15:16 KJV After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
Acts 15:17 KJV That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
There is no such thing as a sinner who is a lawkeeper. Do not let them fool you into thinking otherwise. They are liars, and therefore, they are breaking the law.
Acts 15:24 KJV Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:
Idolatry and fornication (porn) are huge problems, even in churches today.
Acts 15:29 KJV That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
Follow-up is a vital part of discipleship. It also demonstrates our love and care for one another. If we don't follow up with someone, it may indicate that we don't prioritize them as much as those we do regularly connect with. However, as we interact with more people, follow-up becomes increasingly challenging. We can only truly follow up with a limited number of individuals on a regular basis. We must learn to respect the limited capacities of men.
Acts 15:36 KJV And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do.
Conflict in the church is nothing new. Sometimes we must agree to disagree and move forward with our God-ordained business.
Acts 15:38 KJV But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.
Acts 15:39 KJV And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus;
Acts 15:40 KJV And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.
Acts 15:41 KJV And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.
Spiritual leprosy is rampant in America, and most Americans are ignorant of it due to confusing the unclean with the clean. Many have noticed the scab, but still fail to understand that our cleansing is found in Christ.
Leviticus 14:56-57 KJV And for a rising, and for a scab, and for a bright spot: To teach when it is unclean, and when it is clean: this is the law of leprosy.
If your life is still filled and occupied with darkness, you have yet to see the great light. Perhaps you're looking in the wrong direction.
Isaiah 9:2 KJV The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.
Matthew 4:14 KJV That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
Matthew 4:15 KJV The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;
Matthew 4:16 KJV The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
Matthew 4:17 KJV From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
If you understand that Abraham is a father of all those who believe, you will understand why Jesus is the everlasting Father of all who believe, yet not the Father of the Godhead, for He is the Son.
Romans 4:11 KJV And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:
Isaiah 9:6 KJV For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Jesus will sit on a physical, earthly throne, and His kingdom will come to earth, just as it is in heaven.
Isaiah 9:7 KJV Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
And why we pray:
Matthew 6:10 KJV Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Leaders who make golden statues of themselves should be your first clue.
Isaiah 9:16 KJV For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.
Father, may Your great light guide us today. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
