The Psalmist and Jewish pilgrims prayed and sang of the peace of Jerusalem as they gathered to worship in the House of the Lord. Whenever we, as believers, gather for church within the Jerusalem above, we ought to earnestly seek the same peace to be found within its walls.
Psalms 122:6 KJV Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
Psalms 122:7 KJV Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
Psalms 122:8 KJV For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.
Psalms 122:9 KJV Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.
Galatians 4:26 KJV But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
There is no peace with God without faith in Jesus Christ. The same grace that saves us and gives us peace is the same grace that keeps us and maintains our peace through tribulation. Whoever told you that believers do not go through tribulation is a liar.
Romans 5:1 KJV Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Romans 5:2 KJV By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Romans 5:3 KJV And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
Those who have young adult wayward children understand the tribulation that comes with it. Therefore, we patiently pray, understanding through the experience of time that many children raised in the church lack a heart for Christ until much later in life. Our hope is that they will eventually love God with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength. I rest each night with this hope and will do so until my last breath. This hope is to be applied to all our tribulations.
Romans 5:3 KJV And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
Romans 5:4 KJV And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
Romans 5:5 KJV And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
There is no hope without Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:6 KJV For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
Would you die for your enemies? God did.
Notice that we are saved from God's wrath through Jesus Christ. This chapter highlights a clear distinction between tribulation and wrath.
Romans 5:7 KJV For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
Romans 5:8 KJV But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:9 KJV Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
Romans 5:10 KJV For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
Romans 5:11 KJV And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
All die because of sin and all are saved from sin and death through grace. Salvation by grace is timeless, as seen before the law, during the law, and after the law. Additionally, those who have not sinned in God's eyes, as seen in Adam's transgression, include individuals who fall under an age or mentality of accountability, such as the preborn, children, and the mentally disabled. These individuals are also saved by God's grace.
Romans 5:12 KJV Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Romans 5:13 KJV (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
Romans 5:14 KJV Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
All of salvation, including faith, is a gift from God, offered freely to all humanity. Woe to those who freely reject this gift.
Romans 5:15 KJV But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
Romans 5:16 KJV And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
Romans 5:17 KJV For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
Romans 5:18 KJV Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
The will of man chose to sin, and the will of God chose to save us through Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:19 KJV For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
Romans 5:20 KJV Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
Romans 5:21 KJV That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
Unconfessed sin always leaves a legacy of curse and bitterness, while confessed sin brings blessing and peace.
Numbers 5:23 KJV And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall blot them out with the bitter water:
The Deceiver is a counterfeiter of all that is holy, including the Godhead, commonly known as the Trinity. Therefore, it's no surprise that we read of a trinity of evil in the piercing serpent, crooked serpent, and dragon.
Isaiah 27:1 KJV In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.
Gospilled Minute #135
You shall know the Israel of God by its fruit. If its fruit is not Christ, then it is not the Israel of God.
Isaiah 27:6 KJV He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.
Those who are of Jacob, the Israel of God, are forgiven of all their sins. Sin chokes fruit, but forgiveness allows it to thrive and reproduce.
Isaiah 27:9 KJV By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.
I am convinced that the great trumpet has yet to sound, and when it does, we will worship at the holy mount of Jerusalem thereafter.
Isaiah 27:13 KJV And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.
Father, all our hope is in You, Your Son, and the Holy Spirit. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
