In the past, I haven't lifted my hands in church because I'm more introverted and didn't want to draw attention to myself in the Baptist churches that didn't practice this. Today, our church is very small, and I no longer care. My hands go up during Sunday's opening prayers and on my private prayer carpet, where I bow and lift my hands throughout the week. If you don't like this, the problem is yours, not mine.
Psalms 134:2 KJV Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.
Gospilled Minute #140
If you believe this blessing flows from the political Zion of our day, you are part of the strong delusion. You can surrender Zion to the antichrists in your own mind if you want, but the true Zion—and its true Zionists—belong to Christ.
Psalms 134:3 KJV The LORD that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion.
Notice that Paul addresses the local autonomy of the churches and believers based on their position before Christ, not Rome.
1 Corinthians 1:2 KJV Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:
1 Corinthians 1:3 KJV Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
All grace and all enrichment come through Jesus Christ, not your church denomination. I don't care how old it is.
1 Corinthians 1:4 KJV I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;
1 Corinthians 1:5 KJV That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;
Have you been confirmed? If you've been born again and have a testimony of Christ about this transformative faith that has changed your life, then the answer is yes.
1 Corinthians 1:6 KJV Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
1 Corinthians 1:8 KJV Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
God’s gifts and calling are without repentance. He is faithful to keep all whom He has called into the fellowship of His Son and our Lord Jesus Christ. God calls; we answer. He forces no one into fellowship with His Son.
1 Corinthians 1:9 KJV God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 11:29 KJV For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
Church confirmation means nothing without the confirmation of Jesus Christ that endures to the end.
1 Corinthians 1:8 KJV Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 1:9 KJV God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
Every church denomination has its idols, called men. One says they follow the teachings of one man, and another follows another. Such divided focus causes contention. Keep your eyes on Jesus Christ! I will fail you, you will fail me, but Jesus will never fail us.
1 Corinthians 1:10 KJV Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
1 Corinthians 1:11 KJV For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.
1 Corinthians 1:12 KJV Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.
1 Corinthians 1:13 KJV Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?
Many claim to be Christians, yet they avoid preaching as if it were beneath them—as if it were foolish. I preach anyway, knowing that such foolishness has saved many fools, including myself.
1 Corinthians 1:18 KJV For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
1 Corinthians 1:19 KJV For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
1 Corinthians 1:20 KJV Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
1 Corinthians 1:21 KJV For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
I came across an 18-year-old's platform online who has had a wheelchair-bound disability since birth. Despite his challenges, he shares his testimony to the best of his ability and glorifies Christ. Remarkably, he has gained a 70k following on his channel. The point is, it doesn't matter how good you look or how many degrees you have; God uses whom He chooses, in the manner He chooses, to bring Himself glory. This is not our choice, and no amount of manipulation – even buying bots – can change that. Just be faithful where you are at.
1 Corinthians 1:27 KJV But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
1 Corinthians 1:28 KJV And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
1 Corinthians 1:29 KJV That no flesh should glory in his presence.
All glory to God! Christ is King!
1 Corinthians 1:30 KJV But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
1 Corinthians 1:31 KJV That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
There is a growing faction of people who even call themselves Christians and believe that the Lord of the Old Testament is a nefarious god consumed solely by wrath. Sadly, they are mistaken. He is, first and foremost, a loving, merciful, and gracious God who has given mankind many chances. All you have to do is study the life of Aaron, for starters, and then study your own.
Numbers 17:8 KJV And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.
If you blaspheme the God of the Old Testament, you blaspheme the God of the New Testament.
The enemy knows how to flatter, whereas a true friend tells the truth, even if it hurts. I'd rather be hurt by Christian truth than hurt by antichrist flattery and lobbying.
Isaiah 39:1 KJV At that time Merodachbaladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah: for he had heard that he had been sick, and was recovered.
Isaiah 39:2 KJV And Hezekiah was glad of them, and shewed them the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not.
Father, we lift our hands to You! In Jesus' Name, Amen.
