On Sundays, New Testament churches were commanded to collect offerings from the saints based on the prosperity they had received. Therefore, it makes sense that a 10% guideline, derived from the law, was applied. These collections were intended to meet the needs of the saints, not for entertainment.
1 Corinthians 16:1 KJV Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.
1 Corinthians 16:2 KJV Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

Those who do not love the Lord Jesus Christ are accursed without Him. Focus on the gathering of His saints and His coming, not the haters, except to pray for their lost and pitiful souls.

I was blessed to be asked to feature on a song where I simply read this verse in the opening. So fire away, because I have a heritage!
Isaiah 54:17 KJV No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
Father, thank You for a Christian heritage! In Jesus' Name, Amen.
