The source of all godliness is God, and no one is part of the godly without Jesus Christ.
Psalms 4:3 KJV But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.
Despite the dispensational and prosperity gospel that teaches Christians are above affliction and tribulation, the Gospel and Epistles, also known as the Bible, teach otherwise.
1 Thessalonians 3:3 KJV That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.
1 Thessalonians 3:4 KJV For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.
All faith is not from God. Faith from God, which is a gift, resists the tempter.
1 Thessalonians 3:5 KJV For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.
True faith comforts others and stands fast in the Lord.
1 Thessalonians 3:7 KJV Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:
1 Thessalonians 3:8 KJV For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.

A faith that does not understand that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are God is lacking. A Muslim argues that John 17:3 KJV, 'And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent,' teaches that Jesus Christ is not the only true God. However, if this were so, neither would the Father be in 1 Thessalonians 3:11. Clearly, both the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ are God.
1 Thessalonians 3:10 KJV Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?
1 Thessalonians 3:11 KJV Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you.
I am not called to love just the men of my skin or even faith. I am called to love all men with the truth of the Gospel. This is what true faith from God does with the hope that they will embrace the same faith in Christ.
1 Thessalonians 3:12 KJV And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:
Through many years of preaching the Gospel, I've observed that many who claim to be Christians are more interested in what Scripture says about them and what they can get rather than what it says about God and what we can give Him. I fear for their souls. This is not worship of God, this is worship of self.

This is especially true regarding women. It’s exactly why I stopped doing any of the so-called Bible studies and stopped attending any “conferences”. It’s never about learning more about the Bible and Jesus but are glorified therapy sessions cloaked in Christianity. My husband is part of an excellent expository men’s Bible study group and I often use the notes from that to help in my independent study. I have yet to encounter a women’s group that is like this. It’s all “God loves me even if no one else does and what can I get out of this to be a more empowered woman”. No thank you.
I want to know more about who JESUS is and what HE did and why. Once I know that it should be clear who I am in God.
I don’t pretend to be super knowledgeable about the Bible but I know enough to recognize when my ears are being tickled and there’s an attempt to stroke my ego and turn my study toward self worship instead of God worship.
The words of God were settled long before they were given to men to write in a book called the Word of God, which contains the doctrine of God, not the doctrines of men. His words always point to His published Name, JESUS, who alone is the Rock of our faith and salvation.
Deuteronomy 32:1 KJV Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.
Deuteronomy 32:2 KJV My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:
Deuteronomy 32:3 KJV Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.
Deuteronomy 32:4 KJV He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
Who created all things? JESUS.
Deuteronomy 32:18 KJV Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.
Colossians 1:16 KJV For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Your rock may be Peter, but my Rock is Christ.
Deuteronomy 32:31 KJV For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.
Deuteronomy 32:37 KJV And he shall say, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted,
You are either of the vine of Christ or of Sodom; there is no in-between.
Deuteronomy 32:32 KJV For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter:
If you are filled with poison, your vine is Sodom.
Deuteronomy 32:33 KJV Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.
This is clearly Jesus Christ speaking.
Deuteronomy 32:39 KJV See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
Deuteronomy 32:40 KJV For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.
Deuteronomy 32:41 KJV If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.
The Word of God has always been the life of men.
Deuteronomy 32:46 KJV And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.
Deuteronomy 32:47 KJV For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.
If you understand the two baskets of figs the LORD showed Jeremiah, you will understand the difference between the Jews in Christ and the Jews without Him.
Jeremiah 24:2 KJV One basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other basket had very naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.
The Jews in Christ:
Jeremiah 24:7 KJV And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.
Father, help us to love all men with Your truth. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
