We do not become magically righteous and then start seeking God. God finds us and offers the free gift of righteousness through His Son, Jesus Christ. If we accept, then God will be in all our thoughts by faith. The righteousness of God humbles man; it does not puff him up.
Psalms 10:4 KJV The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
Gospilled Minute #181
Who is our Savior? Jesus Christ or God? Both, because Jesus is God.
1 Timothy 1:1 KJV Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;
1 Timothy 1:2 KJV Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
One of the things I am praying about after publishing my book this year is increasing my supplemental work. I had hoped that Gospilled would reach at least a minimum wage average over the years, but it has not and has only declined. This is why I believe a tentmaking redirection may be in order soon. Will I stop preaching? I haven’t in over 30 years; it will just be at a much slower pace and may not include social media.
If a doctrine has many rabbit trails and few verses, it ought to be automatically suspect. Your first clue of a rabbit trail doctrine is pride, not charity.
1 Timothy 1:3 KJV As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
1 Timothy 1:4 KJV Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
1 Timothy 1:5 KJV Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
There is a difference between vain jangling preaching and expository preaching.
1 Timothy 1:6 KJV From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
If you teach that you are a lawkeeper, you are a liar. If you teach that the law proves you are a liar, then you are teaching the law lawfully.
1 Timothy 1:7 KJV Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
1 Timothy 1:8 KJV But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
1 Timothy 1:9 KJV Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
1 Timothy 1:10 KJV For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
God will use anyone who trusts in Him.
1 Timothy 1:12 KJV And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
Paul confesses that Judaism void of Christ is blasphemous.
1 Timothy 1:13 KJV Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
There is no grace to be found outside the love and faith of Jesus Christ. Woe to the sinner who refuses such grace.
1 Timothy 1:14 KJV And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
1 Timothy 1:15 KJV This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
We want instant conversions, whereas God wants real conversions and is willing to wait for them.
1 Timothy 1:16 KJV Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
The Bible repeatedly proves that Jesus is God, which is why cults and false religions have created their own books and claimed that Paul was not an inspired writer, even though he is not the only one to proclaim that Jesus is God; after all, Jesus was condemned for blasphemy for this very truth.
1 Timothy 1:17 KJV Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
There will always be a spiritual war between those with faith and those without until Jesus ends the war.
1 Timothy 1:18 KJV This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
1 Timothy 1:19 KJV Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
1 Timothy 1:20 KJV Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
If you are in Christ, you have a testimony clearly marked by the hand of God. People who have known me throughout my life understand this transformation. Some may have written me off as a religious nutjob, but others have embraced Christ, knowing that only God could have changed me.
Joshua 4:21 KJV And he spake unto the children of Israel, saying, When your children shall ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean these stones?
Joshua 4:22 KJV Then ye shall let your children know, saying, Israel came over this Jordan on dry land.
Joshua 4:23 KJV For the LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over:
Joshua 4:24 KJV That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty: that ye might fear the LORD your God for ever.
My current self-employment involves delivering groceries and the Bread of God. This morning, I made two drop-offs, including one order with literal bread loaves. I was tipped $5 on the app and paid $9.70 for the 8-mile trip from the store. Most people don't tip for my Bread of God deliveries, which travel worldwide and are included in the bags of my grocery deliveries.
Why is it hard for many to believe that God has given us a book called the Bible?
Jeremiah 30:2 KJV Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.
Jacob (Israel of God) is the Church, and the Church will go through great tribulation (Jacob’s Trouble) before the coming of the Lord, a cleansing and refinement, if you will, before the wheat is separated from the tares, just as the Remnant were set apart from the vile figs in the time of Jeremiah and the Babylonian captivity.
Jeremiah 30:7 KJV Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.
Jeremiah 30:8 KJV For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:
Jeremiah 30:9 KJV But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.
Jeremiah 30:10 KJV Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.
The Church of God (Israel) will be cleansed and healed. All the tares, goats, and corruption will be removed.
Jeremiah 30:17 KJV For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.
You fall on one side or the other. On the side of Christ, you are among the people of God. On the side that opposes Christ, you will know God’s fierce anger and fury.
Jeremiah 30:22 KJV And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
Jeremiah 30:23 KJV Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.
Jeremiah 30:24 KJV The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.
Father, thank You for the Bible. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
