Cutting off family and church members and gossiping about them is not a fruit of the Spirit or a trait of those who dwell on the holy hill. I am amazed at how some of my non-Christian family members outshine my so-called Christian family and church brethren in this regard. If you are evil to your family, you will hardly love your neighbor.
Psalms 15:1-3 KJV LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
Even a Christian slave can find contentment in Christ in this world and serve as a powerful witness to those around them.
1 Timothy 6:1 KJV Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.
1 Timothy 6:2 KJV And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.
1 Timothy 6:6 KJV But godliness with contentment is great gain.
1 Timothy 6:7 KJV For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
An unruly Christian is not a godly Christian.
1 Timothy 6:3 KJV If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
There are preachers, and there are speculators. I find much pride and contention among speculators, and it’s not a hill I’m willing to die on. If I speculate, I will strive to support my research and understanding with Scripture, hoping and praying to arrive at the truth.
1 Timothy 6:4 KJV He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
1 Timothy 6:5 KJV Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
People medicate their anxiety because they believe they must maintain a certain lifestyle to find peace in this world. They are greatly deceived. I am truly content with basic necessities, and while anything beyond necessity may not be sinful, it is not necessary.
1 Timothy 6:8 KJV And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
1 Timothy 6:9 KJV But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
Since 2020, I have dedicated most of my time to the cause of Christ and His gospel, generating only a fraction of the finances I could have earned with a different focus. Some focus on the rise and fall of charts, while I have been able to focus on the rise and fall of souls. It has been the greatest investment of my life.
1 Timothy 6:10 KJV For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
1 Timothy 6:11 KJV But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
Gospilled Minute #185
Our oldest son is a commercial fisherman and works as a mariner during the off-season. His last ship’s crew included several Christians with varying degrees of faith and witness who openly discussed the things of God without shame. Regardless of our profession, we are all called to be witnesses.
1 Timothy 6:12 KJV Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
People think they have 'His times' all figured out. They don’t.
1 Timothy 6:14 KJV That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
1 Timothy 6:15 KJV Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
1 Timothy 6:16 KJV Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
If you are greatly rich in this world, you are called to greatly support the world to come.
1 Timothy 6:17 KJV Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
1 Timothy 6:18 KJV That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
You can spend all day on a flat earth model that claims every single person, including born-again Christians who oppose it, has signed a secret Satanic oath to refute it with CGI and propaganda. I reject such nonsense that extends much farther than just a flat earth.
1 Timothy 6:20 KJV O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
1 Timothy 6:21 KJV Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.
We should be very cautious when declaring who our allies are. Many do not seek the LORD for counsel and assume allies just because they tell us what we want to hear or have hijacked one of our holy names. To Joshua's credit, he recognized his mistake, acknowledged his false allies were cursed, and put a plan of action in place that was more fitting for the Gibeonite deception.
Joshua 9:14 KJV And the men took of their victuals, and asked not counsel at the mouth of the LORD.
Joshua 9:15 KJV And Joshua made peace with them, and made a league with them, to let them live: and the princes of the congregation sware unto them.
New Release from Big John: Testimony
I was blessed to have my brief testimony featured at the end of this new Big John track.
The Rechabites, unlike the Jews, stood firm in the faith and traditions of their fathers, which included abstinence from wine. God blessed them for their obedience and faithfulness.
Jeremiah 35:18 KJV And Jeremiah said unto the house of the Rechabites, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Because ye have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according unto all that he hath commanded you:
Father, thank You for the testimony of Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
