I am not a musician. I participated in a few songs with verses more akin to preaching than singing. All I know is that a 'loud noise' is rather subjective, while who we sing to and for is objective.
Psalms 33:2 KJV Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.
Psalms 33:3 KJV Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.
Yes, our filthy works do not save us, but the LORD’s righteous works do. Be careful not to throw out the LORD’s works; otherwise, you have no possibility of being saved.
Psalms 33:4 KJV For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.
If you dislike the term 'Eternal Security,' use 'Eternal Salvation' instead. If your salvation is not eternal, Jesus is not the author of your salvation. Again, our salvation and sanctification come through the work of Christ, not our works.
Hebrews 5:9 KJV And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
Hebrews 10:10 KJV By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
There is debate over who wrote the Book of Hebrews, but how can there be debate about salvation (eternal security) that leads to the saving of the soul and does not draw back to perdition? If you have such faith, it will be just as confident.
Hebrews 10:35 KJV Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
Hebrews 10:38 KJV Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
Hebrews 10:39 KJV But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
The entire Bible centers on Jesus Christ, whom the Father sent into the world for salvation. The Bible is a written text called God’s Word that Jesus frequently quoted, often prefacing His words with "It is written."
Hebrews 10:7 KJV Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
The first was established as a shadow to reveal our need for the substance of the second. Nevertheless, faith in the Lord has always been the common denominator.
Hebrews 10:9 KJV Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
If your sins have been forgiven by God, they are forgiven once for all and forever. We continue to confess to restore fellowship with God, not to secure salvation. If salvation depended on confessing every single sin, we would all be damned.
Hebrews 10:10 KJV By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Hebrews 10:11 KJV And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
Hebrews 10:12 KJV But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
Hebrews 10:17 KJV And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
If salvation depended on confessing every single sin, we would all be damned.
Hebrews 10:26 KJV For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
The important matter is that God’s saints assemble for fellowship in Christ to encourage one another, which is the heart of the assembly. Yes, correction (or rebuke) is part of encouragement. An assembly can take many shapes and forms. However, the emphasis will always be on the heart of the assembly—Christ—not outward aesthetics.
Hebrews 10:24 KJV And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Hebrews 10:25 KJV Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
I find it hard to believe that Christian Zionists love Jews as they claim, because if they did, they would tell them the truth.
Hebrews 10:29 KJV Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
Hebrews 10:31 KJV It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
If an antichrist world loves and promotes you, it's probably because you're antichrist. The ministry is not about rockstardom; it consists of the following.
Hebrews 10:32 KJV But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;
Hebrews 10:33 KJV Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.
Early saints did not know when our Lord Jesus Christ would physically return, and neither do we. However, we should live as if it is imminent. This does not require subscribing to a secret rapture.
Hebrews 10:37 KJV For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
Persecution of early saints was a clear litmus test of genuine faith that endures through it all. Very few will die for a belief they do not believe. Perhaps none.
Hebrews 10:36 KJV For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Women who are obedient with each step of faith have their virtue recognized. Also recognized are women who are unfaithful and promiscuous with the world. Women, be women of faith. Men, cherish women of faith.
Ruth 3:11 KJV And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman.
The question many nations never learn, although the Answer has made Himself clear throughout time.
Lamentations 1:1 KJV How doth the city sit solitary, that was full of people! how is she become as a widow! she that was great among the nations, and princess among the provinces, how is she become tributary!
The LORD has judged Jerusalem many times for antichristism, and instead of repenting and turning to Christ, the response is to claim the world is filled with antisemitism. These sorts of doubling-down responses never end well for those who call themselves Jews.
Lamentations 1:8 KJV Jerusalem hath grievously sinned; therefore she is removed: all that honoured her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness: yea, she sigheth, and turneth backward.
Father, thank You for Christian music. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
