The Psalmist makes it clear that no price can a man pay to redeem his soul, yet he confidently speaks of his own salvation. He does not say that God might redeem him; he declares that God will redeem him. This is our confidence in Christ. Jesus paid it all!
Psalms 49:15 KJV But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.
The Old and New Testaments are the Word of God.
2 Peter 3:2 KJV That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
The timing of the last days is often debated, but far less contested is the truth that God exists outside of time, for He created it.
2 Peter 3:8 KJV But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
The promised coming of Jesus Christ is connected to the last days, which have yet to unfold and are not assigned to a specific time, however many those days may be.
2 Peter 3:3 KJV Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
2 Peter 3:4 KJV And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
For those who still reject Christ upon His coming, when the fire comes and the world is judged, there will be no question concerning the last days.
2 Peter 3:7 KJV But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
God's desire that none should perish but that all should repent does not imply universal salvation, where everyone is ultimately saved with or without Jesus Christ. Rather, it means that God calls all people to repent and trust in Jesus Christ, or they will indeed perish.
2 Peter 3:9 KJV The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
The idea that Jesus Christ has already physically returned to rule, reign, and judge the earth is absurd. There is no spiritualizing the elements of global and heavenly destruction in this verse.
2 Peter 3:10 KJV But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

There will be no mistaking the coming of the day of God. Since Jesus is the one coming, it is clear that He is God.
2 Peter 3:12 KJV Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
2 Peter 3:13 KJV Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
There are factions that claim Paul’s New Testament writings are not inspired Scripture. Peter disagrees.
2 Peter 3:15 KJV And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
2 Peter 3:16 KJV As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
Doctrinal error, enslaved to pride, hinders spiritual growth.
2 Peter 3:17 KJV Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
2 Peter 3:18 KJV But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Strong's Concordance (H3478) defines the Hebrew word Yisra'el (יִשְׂרָאֵל) as 'he will rule as God,' derived from the roots sarah (H8280, to prevail or have power) and el (H410, God). Jesus is the Strength of Israel. He is not an ordinary sinful man; He is the God-Man who rules as Lord and King. The Body of Christ is the Israel of God.
1 Samuel 15:29 KJV And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he is not a man, that he should repent.
Is Saul in heaven? Only eternity will tell. All I know is that, were it not for God’s longsuffering, mercy, and grace through Jesus Christ, I would never be found in His presence. Just remember that public and political worship is not the same as private and spiritual worship.
1 Samuel 15:30 KJV Then he said, I have sinned: yet honour me now, I pray thee, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD thy God.
1 Samuel 15:31 KJV So Samuel turned again after Saul; and Saul worshipped the LORD.
I was asked today why I preach so much about the rebuke of rebellious and antichrist Jews. It’s because the Word of God does. All you have to do is read the text.
Ezekiel 12:2 KJV Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house.
Father, thank You for Your longsuffering, mercy, and grace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
