The Spirit of God never abandoned nor forsook David. However, he understood that unconfessed sin grieves the Holy Spirit and diminishes His infilling.
Psalms 51:11 KJV Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
Ephesians 4:30 KJV And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, not only for born-again believers. However, only born-again believers receive this gift, which manifests as faith.
1 John 2:1 KJV My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
1 John 2:2 KJV And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
If you keep the Great Commandment today, you have kept all of God’s commandments.
1 John 2:3 KJV And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
1 John 2:4 KJV He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
The Great Commandment:
Matthew 22:36 KJV Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Matthew 22:37 KJV Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Matthew 22:38 KJV This is the first and great commandment.
Matthew 22:39 KJV And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Matthew 22:40 KJV On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
If a man or woman does not read and study the Word, they can hardly keep it. Therefore, examine yourself to see whether you are in the faith. If you are, you will seek to walk as He walked daily.
1 John 2:5 KJV But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
1 John 2:6 KJV He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
If you hate or have any grievance against a brother or sister in Christ, how can you love the God who saved and loves them? Forgive as you have been forgiven. Many seek mercy and grace from God yet refuse to extend it to others.
1 John 2:7 KJV Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.
1 John 2:8 KJV Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.
1 John 2:9 KJV He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.
1 John 2:10 KJV He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
1 John 2:11 KJV But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.
Materialism is not a fruit of baptism.
1 John 2:15 KJV Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
1 John 2:16 KJV For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
1 John 2:17 KJV And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
Yes, there are many antichrists. However, during the Tribulation, an Antichrist will rise, deceive, and persecute.
“that antichrist shall come”
1 John 2:18 KJV Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
When the Great Tribulation comes, the wheat will be separated from the tares. Our faith will be tried; it's only a matter of time. Arrogant Americans will not be exempt or spared by a secret rapture.
1 John 2:19 KJV They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
Unless you have an unction from the Holy One, you know nothing.
1 John 2:20 KJV But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
If you know the truth, you understand what is antichrist, and do not proclaim to stand with it or claim it as your greatest ally—even if it bears the hijacked name of Israel or Christian.
1 John 2:21 KJV I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
1 John 2:22 KJV Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
Eternal life is a promise, and this promise is found in the Son.
1 John 2:23 KJV Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
1 John 2:24 KJV Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
1 John 2:25 KJV And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.
Many attempt to seduce the faithful unto the traditions of men while mocking Sola Scriptura as private interpretation. Little do they understand the power and anointing of God where no private interpretation exists.
1 John 2:26 KJV These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
1 John 2:27 KJV But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
He will appear and He will come. I am unashamed and confident of this. May this confidence remain in us all without shame.
1 John 2:28 KJV And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
I love the mountains and know the one I stand on; just remember, standing on a mountain does not make it a mountain of God.
1 Samuel 17:3 KJV And the Philistines stood on a mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on a mountain on the other side: and there was a valley between them.
You will either fear the words of the God of Israel or the gods of the enemy. Choose wisely, and rest assured that the Word of God always prevails.
1 Samuel 17:10 KJV And the Philistine said, I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together.
1 Samuel 17:11 KJV When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.
Day after day, many defy the armies of the living God, in which I serve as a soldier. One way or another, they will fall to their knees; I only pray it’s by faith for their sake.
1 Samuel 17:26 KJV And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?
It’s funny how many claim to know your heart but don’t know their own.
1 Samuel 17:28 KJV And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle.
1 Samuel 17:29 KJV And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause?
God prepared David to face Goliath with great faith by first testing him with a lion and a bear. Faith often begins small and slowly grows and matures. We must understand this when working with others of faith, no matter how small or great their faith may be.
1 Samuel 17:37 KJV David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee.
The confidence of the LORD convinces kings.
1 Samuel 17:38 KJV And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail.
The King James Bible has been greatly proven; therefore, I wield it. As for inferior versions, I care not for their boasts—they are but sticks. Yet, even a stick can do damage when it contains a portion of the Word of God.
1 Samuel 17:39 KJV And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.
All David needed was one stone to defeat Goliath, and many have questioned this except God. What confuses me is that those who claim to have the faith to carry one stone also carry guns with the largest magazines they can find.
1 Samuel 17:40 KJV And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.
David did not need any stones. All he needed was the LORD. The stones for that day were mere novelties.
1 Samuel 17:45 KJV Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.
David knew the battle was the LORD’s and could not have spoken such words without the Spirit of God and knowledge of the Bible, specifically the words of Moses. He was also careful to teach this truth to his successors.
1 Samuel 17:46 KJV This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.
1 Samuel 17:47 KJV And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD'S, and he will give you into our hands.
Exodus 14:14 KJV The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
2 Chronicles 20:15 KJV And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.

Psalms 121:1 KJV I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
Never underestimate anyone who fears and serves the Living God, and never overestimate those who don't.
1 Samuel 17:41 KJV And the Philistine came on and drew near unto David; and the man that bare the shield went before him.
1 Samuel 17:42 KJV And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he disdained him: for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and of a fair countenance.
1 Samuel 17:43 KJV And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.
Bless Christians and their God, and you will be blessed; curse them, and you will be cursed.
1 Samuel 17:43 KJV And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.
1 Samuel 17:44 KJV And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field.
If you do not stand with God, you will flee from Him until you can run no more.
1 Samuel 17:51 KJV Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled.
Gospilled Minute #223
God has used the faith of one man, when no one had faith in him, to inspire the faith of many. Just be faithful.
1 Samuel 17:52 KJV And the men of Israel and of Judah arose, and shouted, and pursued the Philistines, until thou come to the valley, and to the gates of Ekron. And the wounded of the Philistines fell down by the way to Shaaraim, even unto Gath, and unto Ekron.
The reason many Christians do not preach repentance to the house and state of Israel today is that they are entangled in idolatry and abominations. The Church is not above such reproach either. The tares will be separated from the wheat; it is only a matter of time and judgment.
Ezekiel 14:6 KJV Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.
The Remnant is the Wheat.
Ezekiel 14:22 KJV Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, both sons and daughters: behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings: and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it.
Ezekiel 14:23 KJV And they shall comfort you, when ye see their ways and their doings: and ye shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, saith the Lord GOD.
Father, may we seek the treasures of heaven and not be distracted by the treasures of earth. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
