David knew who his rock was, and it was not Peter. Peter had his own pits to contend with.
Psalms 28:1 KJV Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.
People are quick to regard the work of men's hands while ignoring the works of the LORD. I credit every good act and deed done in my life and in the lives of others to the operation of the LORD's hands.
Psalms 28:5 KJV Because they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up.
The saved know where their strength exists.
Psalms 28:7 KJV The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
Psalms 28:8 KJV The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.
Psalms 28:9 KJV Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.
Hail Jesus Christ the Lord! The disciples would not have worshipped Him if He were not the Son of God, the very manifestation of God in the flesh.
Matthew 28:9 KJV And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.
Who do you think funds such antichrist propaganda today, who also has the governors' ears?
Matthew 28:12 KJV And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,
Matthew 28:13 KJV Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.
Matthew 28:14 KJV And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.
Matthew 28:15 KJV So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
I believe the Lord understands our doubts, but I worship Him regardless, always returning to the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Having studied many religions, I've found no stronger argument for God than Jesus' life, death, and resurrection. He's been accused by Jews and their allies of deceit and blasphemy, yet never of evil.
Matthew 28:17 KJV And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
Pilates' power was given to him by Jesus. This is why I praise God for whoever is in political office. God has a plan to judge and bless nations through His political appointees, for He is the governor of the nations.
Matthew 28:18 KJV And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
John 19:10 KJV Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee?
John 19:11 KJV Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.
Psalms 22:28 KJV For the kingdom is the LORD'S: and he is the governor among the nations.
Our mission and purpose have not changed. If you are not called to be an elder to lead such a local church effort, join a local church that does these things.
Matthew 28:19 KJV Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Matthew 28:20 KJV Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Christians are to marry Christians, period.
Genesis 28:1 KJV And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan.
God gave the Promised Land to Abraham and the seed of Christ. Anyone outside of this seed remains a stranger.
Genesis 28:3 KJV And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people;
Genesis 28:4 KJV And give thee the blessing of Abraham, to thee, and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land wherein thou art a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham.
Jacob's church consisted of stones for pillows. The aesthetics thereof were literally not of this world.
Genesis 28:17 KJV And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.
Jacob was content in Christ with life's necessities and had no problem giving a tenth back to God from the blessings he received.
Genesis 28:20 KJV And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,
Genesis 28:21 KJV So that I come again to my father's house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God:
Genesis 28:22 KJV And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.
Many are blinded by their hatred of the Jews. I do not hate the Jews; I hate their doctrine that opposes Jesus Christ. If you build gallows of hatred for fellow image-bearers of God, Jewish or not, you will hang by them. We are to love the Jews with the truth, and yes, sometimes the truth hurts.
Esther 5:13 KJV Yet all this availeth me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king's gate.
Esther 5:14 KJV Then said Zeresh his wife and all his friends unto him, Let a gallows be made of fifty cubits high, and to morrow speak thou unto the king that Mordecai may be hanged thereon: then go thou in merrily with the king unto the banquet. And the thing pleased Haman; and he caused the gallows to be made.
Father, may we love others as You have loved us. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
