If you know Christ the King, you know the LORD and have been blessed with His strength and peace.
Psalms 29:10-11 KJV The LORD sitteth upon the flood; yea, the LORD sitteth King for ever. The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.
Water baptism is an outward act that symbolizes an inward transformation, of which repentance is an integral part. You have not truly been transformed if your faith does not include repentance. Water baptism does not forgive sins; rather, it follows the forgiveness of sins as a public profession of faith for those who have the opportunity to partake in it.
Mark 1:4 KJV John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
In other words, neither the man nor the water he baptizes you with can save you. Only He who baptizes you with the Holy Ghost can. The Holy Ghost, along with His fruits in your life, is the evidence of salvation.
Mark 1:8 KJV I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.
I love how the passage on the baptism of Jesus ends with Mark 1:11, because it declares the Godhead, commonly known as the Trinity, as the Father (v.11), the Son (vv.9,11), and the Holy Spirit (v.10).
Mark 1:9 KJV And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.
Mark 1:10 KJV And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:
Mark 1:11 KJV And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
The Spirit is a Person of God, one with God the Father and the Son.
Mark 1:12 KJV And immediately the Spirit driveth him into the wilderness.
Temptation is not foreign to any of us, nor are the beasts that surround us. Just remember that God delivers us from temptation and His angels protect us from the roaming beasts.
Mark 1:13 KJV And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.
Belief, repentance, and works are part of the gift of faith. If you have the faith that only God can give, you will believe, repent, and work for His glory.
Mark 1:14 KJV Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
Mark 1:15 KJV And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
If you are not fishing, the question is: has your soul been fished?
Mark 1:17 KJV And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.
Mark 1:18 KJV And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him.
If you're looking for the authority of the Church, look to His doctrine.
Mark 1:22 KJV And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.
Demons attend church and know more about the Bible than you.
Mark 1:23 KJV And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,
Mark 1:24 KJV Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
Again, even the devils know Jesus.
Mark 1:34 KJV And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.
My favorite part of the day. True peace and quiet.
Mark 1:35 KJV And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
When Jesus has truly healed and forgiven you, you cannot help but tell others.
Mark 1:45 KJV But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.
I believe that God always has a special place in His heart for the underdog who looks to Him.
Genesis 29:31 KJV And when the LORD saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren.
Genesis 29:32 KJV And Leah conceived, and bare a son, and she called his name Reuben: for she said, Surely the LORD hath looked upon my affliction; now therefore my husband will love me.
Judah is the name of our oldest son, and we praised the LORD when he was born, too.
Genesis 29:35 KJV And she conceived again, and bare a son: and she said, Now will I praise the LORD: therefore she called his name Judah; and left bearing.
They tried to destroy the seed of Judah (Jews) many times and failed because they could not destroy Christ. The Jews attempted the same and failed, too.
Esther 6:13 KJV And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every thing that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him.
Father, thank you for your transforming salvation. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
