Jesus Christ, our Lord, Priest, and King, is our God and guide until our final rest in peace.
Psalms 48:14 KJV For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.
Luke 1:79 KJV To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

In All Thy Ways
Proverbs 3:5-7 KJV Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
In Luke 4, the devil tempted Jesus three times, attempting to exploit His human nature, although this was impossible since Jesus is the Son of God. The first temptation targeted Jesus' physical hunger, while the second and third temptations challenged His power and authority. Each time, Jesus responded with, "It is written."
If the devil succeeds in getting us to question or doubt the written Word of God, we will inevitably fall prey to his temptations. The Word of God is our shield and defense. If the devil cannot completely remove this shield, he will attempt to compromise it by reducing its effectiveness through twisting and quoting partial Scripture.
In Luke 4, the devil omitted the crucial phrase "in all thy ways" from Psalm 91:11-12, which is also essential to Luke 4:10-11 and Proverbs 3:5-7. The Word of God, written and unaltered, serves as our shield, protecting us in all our ways. If Satan had tempted Jesus 1000 times, Jesus would have responded 1000 times with, "It is written!" And so should we.
Luke 4:10 KJV For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:
Luke 4:11 KJV And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone
Psalms 91:11 KJV For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
Psalms 91:12 KJV They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

If Satan had tempted Jesus 1000 times, Jesus would have responded 1000 times with, 'It is written!' And so should we, in all of our ways. However, in order to resist temptation with what is written, we must know what is written.
Luke 4:4 KJV And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
If Jesus did not care about the salvation of the Jews, He would not have preached from the Bible in their synagogues. And if the Bible were not a sacred book that spoke of Him, His redemptive mission, and His plan, He would not have preached it.
Luke 4:16 KJV And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
Luke 4:17 KJV And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,

Luke 4:19 KJV To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
You are not a minister of the Gospel if you do not preach the Book that Jesus has given us, the same Book that turns eyes upon Jesus.
Luke 4:20 KJV And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, Prophet, Priest, King, and Lord, fulfills all Scripture, for He is the Word of God.
Luke 4:21 KJV And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
You will read or hear no more gracious words.
Luke 4:22 KJV And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?

His word has demonstrated this power for all of time and eternity. Name a more powerful Book.
Luke 4:32 KJV And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.
Even the they/them devils know the Holy One of God, Jesus Christ. The question is, do you? The Good News is that such knowledge in the hearts of men leads to life, whereas such knowledge of the devils leads to their destruction, and yours too if you reject such knowledge that is gifted to us by faith.
Luke 4:33 KJV And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice,

The Israel of God is part of the Kingdom of God. This truth is typified through the blessing of Israel upon Ephraim and Manasseh, who were part of the Northern Kingdom of Israel, which was separated from the Southern Kingdom of the Jews. Jesus was born among the Jews so that He could spiritually reunite the Kingdom of Israel by faith, in accordance with the blessing of Israel.
Genesis 48:16 KJV The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.
