Jesus was a humble carpenter. Strangely, the prosperity gospel did not afford Him a life of luxury.
Mark 6:3 KJV Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
The prosperity gospel must have received different orders.

Yet, for some reason, there are preachers today who mock the preaching of repentance.
Mark 6:12 KJV And they went out, and preached that men should repent.
Herod was an antichrist king, a Jewish convert in a political world that struggled for power, fame, and glory. He killed John the Baptist, yet simultaneously respected his message and discipline while failing to submit to it.
Mark 6:20 KJV For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just man and an holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.

Mark 6:31 KJV And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
The compassion and love of God are beyond our comprehension, as is the reciprocal for those who reject it.
Mark 6:34 KJV And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.
The LORD promises to provide for His people. We should not worry about these things. Sometimes, I even think those on welfare have more than enough.
Mark 6:42 KJV And they did all eat, and were filled.
There is a time to be with the people and a time to be alone.
Mark 6:45 KJV And straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people.
Mark 6:46 KJV And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.
Apathy results from failing to praise God for His continual goodness and miraculous interventions in our lives. Remember the loaves, and you will not forget the walking on water.

There is no guarantee that our children will not continue in sin and curse God. However, we can continually pray for them.
Job 1:5 KJV And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.
God, the supreme Elohim, reigns over all elohim, the divine sons of God. As the Son of God, Jesus Christ holds sovereignty over these divine beings. In contrast, Satan, once a majestic archangel, is an elohim being who has fallen. The full extent and majesty of these elohim beings, who are privileged to appear before the Lord, remains somewhat of a divine mystery.
Job 1:6 KJV Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.
Satan's power is derived solely from the authority the LORD chooses to grant him. Though Satan uses this power for malevolent purposes, God sovereignly allows it to ultimately serve a greater good.

Tragedy can strike at any moment, for it is only a door knock away. But amidst the heartache, remember that God is sovereign over all. Though His plans may involve pain and suffering in this life, they are always purposeful and redemptive, to be fully understood only in eternity.
Job 1:20 KJV Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,
Job 1:21 KJV And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.
