Saved by True Faith Alone

andrewhorval.substack.com

I do not continue to repent in order to be saved. I continue to repent because I am saved.

I am saved by faith alone (Eph 2). Faith comes by trusting the Word of God (Romans 10). Repentance is a manifestation of a genuine trust along with belief and works that glorify God.

Mark 1:15 KJV And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

I do not continue to read and study the Bible in order to be saved. I continue to read and study the Bible because I am saved.

Repentance is a result of seeing and submitting to the "light of the glorious gospel of Christ." (2 Corinthians 4)

Is belief a manifestation of faith? (Romans 3)

Is repentance a manifestation of faith? (2 Timothy 2)

Are works a manifestation of faith? (James 2)

If you say no, you do not have faith.

Faith believes, repents, and works to the end.

So, to anyone who wants to state that I add anything to the saving grace of the Gospel other than genuine faith in Christ, buzz off!
