The Israel of God - One Stick
In the Body of Christ, the Jews and Gentiles are one stick as the Israel of God, who is as the sand of the sea - a multitude of nations.
Hosea 1:10 KJV Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.
One stick by the faith of God in Jesus Christ!
Ezekiel 37:15 KJV The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
Ezekiel 37:16 KJV Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:
Ezekiel 37:17 KJV And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.
Jesus's ministry fulfills Jacob-Israel's blessing to Ephraim and Manasseh and the prophecy of Ezekiel 37, where the two sticks of Judah and Ephraim become one in God's hand. His visit and ministry to Ephraim and the Galilee of the Gentiles were essential to this mission. Here, Jesus extended His reach beyond the Jews of the Southern Kingdom, preaching to the descendants of the Northern tribes, represented by Ephraim, who had been dispersed among the Gentiles, blending with other peoples. Through this, Christ gathered the elect from both Judah and the scattered tribes of Ephraim, thus fulfilling the vision of a spiritual reunification of the Israel of God under the Messiah that continues unto this day.
John 11:54 KJV Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples.
Matthew 4:12 KJV Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;
Matthew 4:13 KJV And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:
Matthew 4:14 KJV That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
Matthew 4:15 KJV The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;
Matthew 4:16 KJV The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
Matthew 4:17 KJV From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
This is the 'all Israel' that will be saved. The Church!
Romans 11:26 KJV And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
