Do you know The Just One? If not, you are not among the just. And if you are among the just, you should be able to distinguish the just from the unjust by the Word of God.
‘The Just’ is mentioned in 39 verses and 33 chapters of the Bible. The fact that these numbers (39 and 33) are divisible by three, in conjunction with the reading of Proverbs 3:33, forms an undeniable pattern declaring the prime, indivisible, Triune God—the source of all wholeness and of those who have been made whole in Christ, where all blessings are found. If you bless those in Christ (the Just—Galatians 3:29 Abraham’s Seed), you will be blessed; if you scorn and curse these blessed ones, you will be cursed.
Proverbs 3:33 KJV The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.
What other habitation is there for the Just but the Church, the Body of Christ—Israel of God? Blessed be the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—the LORD, and those who are justified in Him through Jesus Christ!
Jesus Christ is identified as the ‘Just One’ whom the wicked rejected and killed (Acts 3:14; Acts 7:52). He is the Just One who suffered and died so that we could be justified in Him (1 Peter 3:18). He alone is the Just LORD (Zephaniah 3:5) who establishes the just by faith (Psalms 7:9). Those who are in Christ are made righteous through this faith, which is the saving signature mark of the Just (Luke 1:17), clearly stated by scripture: “the just shall live by his faith” (Habakkuk 2:4; Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11; Hebrews 10:38).
The life and faith of the Just in Christ “shineth more and more” (Proverbs 4:18), has valuable words (Proverbs 10:20; Proverbs 10:31), is delivered from evil (Proverbs 11:9; Proverbs 12:21; Proverbs 12:13), and walks in the LORD’s ways (Hosea 14:9). They receive the blessings and promises of God, a blessed memory (Proverbs 10:6; Proverbs 10:7), and shall inherit the wealth of the sinner (Proverbs 13:22; Job 27:17).
The Unjust Wicked (antichrists) stand in direct opposition to the Just (Proverbs 29:27). They are consumed and consume the Just with affliction, scorn, bribery, and condemnation (Proverbs 17:15; Psalms 37:12; Job 12:4; Proverbs 17:26; Amos 5:12; Lamentations 4:13; James 5:6). Many miss this distinction now, but none will miss this distinction at the resurrection, which includes both “the just and unjust” (Acts 24:15). There, the just are rewarded (Luke 14:14), receiving the spoils while the wicked’s portion is cut off (Job 27:13; Job 27:14; Job 27:15; Job 27:16; Job 27:17). Ultimately, the wicked will be severed from among the just (Matthew 13:49).
