Voice in the Wilderness

I have been preaching the Bible for over 30 years, mostly on a volunteer basis. For the past four or so years, I've been teaching and preaching full-time with support from just a few listeners. I am thankful for this support, although it wouldn't remotely suffice as a living wage on its own. The Lord has graciously provided in other ways, so these matters are not my primary focus or concern, even though the lack of encouragement for the labor I've invested over the years can be discouraging at times. Just when I start to think that God might be closing the door on Gospilled, someone sends me a note or letter, in which I am extremely blessed and thankful to all who have encouraged this work in a likewise manner. Today, I received a letter from a listener from near the beginning of Gospilled, and its greatly encouraging and heartfelt handwritten words reminded my wife Lin and me why we do what we do for the glory of God and Christ our King.
